Tangletown is a light roast made from coffees from Central American and Colombian farms we have been buying from for many years. Our Tangletown has sweet and crisp natural citrus flavors. Since the opening of our Green Lake store in the Tangletown neighborhood in 1997, Tangletown has been a customer favorite. The name describes the confusing meeting of various neighborhood streets from which the trolley cars of days gone by, once traversed.
Personal favorite blend for drip and pour over.

Best breakfast coffee I ever had. Smooth and no bitter aftertaste.
The only place I can find Zoka here in Portland is at QFC, not a Fred Meyer shopper for a few reasons so I haven't looked there. For the price, this is a good purchase, shipped for free and delivered to my door.
IMO, Zoka is on par with Stumptown, the flavors are true and clean. Haven't gotten that burnt aftertaste with the medium roast that I can get with other local roasters in their medium roasts. Also have a subscription for the single origin, notified it will be shipped soon. Looking forward to enjoying that, give my palate a little something different to savor.
Please consider a discount for valued customers. Been drinking freshly roasted coffee since I was 17 (Allan Bros, Coffee People, Cellar Door and Stumptown) except when I was pregnant. Admittedly, I am a coffee snob. No room for cream.

I’ve been a long time coffee snob and typically order 5lb bags from various roasters. Currently I’m enjoying Onyx and Ruby. Both sell 5lb bags of whole beans for around the same price as Zoka. Recently I learned about Zoka, which is somehow roasted within 10 miles of me in almost secrecy. Trying to support local, I ordered up a bag of the lightest roast I could see available. No one in the house was impressed and the consensus was that for the same money, better options are out there. I wish them well and hope they’d consider a storefront at the roastery one day so people can gather, watch the process, and sample.
Hi Brian, Thanks for this feedback. We're sorry to hear our Tangletown didn't live up to your expectations. We do try hard to be a great product, at a fair value. Perhaps you were looking for something even lighter, like those roasts found in our Single Origin collection? And thanks for the idea on a storefront in Bellingham. We currently have 4 cafés in Seattle and Kirkland but a spot in Bellingham is a great idea for down the road.
