A new favorite from our longtime partners at Fincas Mierisch, this vibrant H1 hybrid varietal from Fincas Mierisch’s Mama Mina farm is an exciting addition to our Single Origin lineup. Clean, crisp, and fruit-forward, it’s full of bright, tropical fruit, with a balanced sweetness and elegant structure.
Mama Mina sits in Nicaragua’s Matagalpa region, nestled inside the Arenal Nature Reserve. The farm experiences heavy fog over 60% of the day—creating a naturally cool and shaded environment that slows cherry development and leads to exceptional cup quality. This lot was harvested and processed with Fincas Mierisch’s signature attention to detail: dry fermentation, water-conscious washing, and 16 days of careful drying using raised beds and shaded greenhouses.
The H1 varietal is a relatively new hybrid, prized for both its resistance to leaf rust and its excellent cup potential. This is our first time roasting an H1 from Mama Mina, and based on the results, we’re just as eager as the Mierisch family to see more of it planted across their farms.
