Welcome to the roastery this washed SL28 & SL34 from Kenya. Gathaithi Cooperative is made up of 1,542 farmers with the washing station just 160 km north of Nairobi. If you enjoy a washed coffee, this is a truly lovely offering. 

Cupping Notes:  Papaya, marmalade, peach and black cherry. Described as "juicy" at the cupping table.

Kenya Gathaithi

I think the coffee is really nice although I have to admit the feedback will be mores about Zika.

I found the company very responsive and customer service great. One of the shipped packs was slightly damaged and I got replacement immediately.

The packaging is really well designed; not inly is resealable but it also protects from light compared to several others I used. The coffee I am still experimenting with different methods. I just recently (few months ago) discovered and ventured into the finer coffee, got my Elektra MCaL espresso machine, new grinder, tamper etc etc. So still early in my home barista journey. I grew up - like many - on sub-par quality coffee and preparation - just getting used to nuances and more floral/fruity varietals.

I DO LOVE the company though
