Orange Bourbon is a natural mutation varietal with bright orange cherries when ripe. It produces well at high altitudes and is a tall, medium-yielding plant.
Malacara B Farm is located on the northern slope of the Santa Ana volcano. Great soil and a misty climate make it an ideal area for growing coffee.
In 1888, Don Rafael Alvarez Lilinde inherited the property where the Malacara estate resides. By 1900 they had won an award for coffee quality at the Paris Exposition and quickly became known as one of the largest, high quality farms in the Santa Ana region. In 1995, the farm was inherited by three direct heirs of Don Rafael, and divided into three lots: A, B & C. This single origin comes from Farm "B," owned and operated by producer Roberto Dumont.
